JOIN US THIS THURSDAY...TONIGHT! 📖✝️CATHOLICS AND THE BIBLE will be presented by Cathy Buescher on November 16 at St. Theresa’s O’Brien Hall! Cathy is a PhD candidate in Theology at Loyola University and a St. Theresa Parishioner. This will be the final Fall 2023 speaker in the CCC Little Way Series by St. Theresa Parish’s Evangelization Team. Join STP for dinner at 6:30 pm followed by the presentation at 7:00 pm, or just arrive for the presentation.
ABOUT CATHOLICS AND THE BIBLE
The Bible is one of the best known book of books in the world. Cathy will explore the history, study of, and use of the Bible in the context of the Catholic faith. The talk will end with an exercise focused on why the Bible is often called the Living Word.
ABOUT CATHY BUESCHER
Cathy Buescher, a member of St. Theresa Parish since 2016, has a MA in Theology from Fordham University in New York and a BS in Elementary Education from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. She is currently working toward a doctorate in theology from Loyola University Chicago. Prior to moving to Chicago, Cathy lived for 20 years on the East Coast. During her time there, she worked in grammar schools for five years before transitioning to roles in higher education administration, first at St. Peter’s University and then Fordham University. Cathy is a native of Nebraska, having been raised by her parents on a small family farm with her six siblings and the myriad cows, pigs, chickens, cats, dogs, horses, and the occasional goat or wild animal that also called the farm home.
